The project
Brickhouse Coffee Roasters is an independent roaster from Columbus, Georgia. The brand takes its cues from the people who built it: steady, hardworking, and proud of their craft. Every decision was made to feel deliberate and durable, from the tall, stacked wordmark to the use of utility-inspired typography. Brickhouse is built to last, with a design system that values honesty over polish and consistency over noise.

Challange

)
The challenge was to build a brand that felt local and grounded without leaning on nostalgia or typical Southern or cofffee clichés. It needed to feel as real as the people behind it, with a presence that could live comfortably in both small-town cafés and modern retail spaces. The identity had to strike a balance between approachable and structured, with visual weight that felt earned rather than styled.

Approach

)
Create a cohesive system that could flex across packaging, signage, and merchandise while keeping the same sense of order and restraint. Each roast needed its own distinction but had to fit within a unified visual rhythm. The goal was to design something that looked built with intention, not just branded for show.
(

Outcome

)
The result is an identity that feels confident, familiar, and made for work. The logo and grid-driven layouts give the brand structure, while color and material choices add warmth and authenticity. Brickhouse reads as a reflection of its place and people — dependable, direct, and proud.
